1. The universe holds troubling times. Put faith and trust in the fact that everything happens for a reason. Even if you can not see it in the moment, everything will work out. Sometimes, it’s wild to look back and reflect on why things panned out the way it did.
2. It is impossible to help someone who does not wish to be helped. It’s difficult to watch someone you love in a tough situation. Nonetheless, if they are not ready to act on a change, there’s nothing you can say or do to help as an outsider until they see it themselves.
3. Only depend on yourself for happiness. Your entire happiness cannot depend on external measures. Once you decide you are not taking anything personally, the negative energy will deflect off of you. External measures should only add to your constant joy. If you keep yourself in check, there is nothing anyone else can do to shake you. Be so rooted in yourself that the presence or absence of another does not affect you.
4. Be a clean freak. Set a 15 minute timer to clean and organize each day and notice how much you can accomplish. A clean space allows you to enter each new day in a better mood. Not to mention, you think clearer in a clean space.
5. No one tears you up as much as you tear up yourself. Wear the dress and post the pictures.
6. Love life. You have one shot, do not waste it doing something you do not love because you are worried what others think. Spend time with those who encourage your energy.
7. Put more time aside for family. Call your family often and never forget to respond to that “Good morning, sunshine!” text. Tell them u love them often and always hug your siblings back.
8. Celebrate and romanticize every accomplishment or acheivement.
9. The best feeling is being kind to others without being asked. Small acts of kindness and practicing gratitude go a long way.
10. You can meet someone tomorrow who has better intentions for you than someone you have known forever. Time means nothing, character does.
11. Get moving! Find a workout that you look forward to and motivates you. Do not be afraid to switch up your routine. You do not want to resent a repetitive routine. Be efficient, productive, and consistent with your activities.
12. Meeting someone unexpectedly who becomes so important to you is an unbelievably special thing.
13. Patience is one of the softest forms of love.
14. Take pictures often.
15. No more excuses for things that are inexcusable. If you want something bad enough, you will find a way to do it. Change it or choose it.
16. Right person wrong time is a myth, just make it happen. You can always make it the right time. Remember: if they wanted to, they would.
17. Give yourself the same love you give everyone else.
18. If it doesn’t matter in 5 hours, 5 days, or 5 weeks, it’s not worth stressing. If it’s out of your hands, it deserves to be free from your mind as well.
19. Always think long term.
20. It’s only embarrassing if you’re embarrassed.
21. If you weren’t ready, you wouldn’t have the opportunity.
