What you think, you evolve. What you feel, you emanate. What you imagine, you transpire. Believe you have attained it and you will receive it. That is the core of the law of attraction. In 2023, I will attract better because I understand that it all starts within. The better I become, the better I attract.
Take a look around and register that nothing will be the same in a year. New school, new friends, new major, new level of independence, new experiences, new lessons, and new perspectives. In 2022, I struggled with body image, eating, mental health, all the norms for teenage girls. I put in the work to live a life that makes me happy. With that said, heavier focus on wellness, routine, self-care, and organization allowed so many improvements for self growth in 2022. However, there is still lots of work to be done in 2023. Using a schedule and building in time for myself is crucial. Habit stacking is a skill I have been trying to incorporate in my life that I hope to solidify this year. Associating and partnering healthy habits will make it convenient to indulge in wellness and self-care. Instead of saying “I have to do this”, say “I get to do this.” Everything is a privilege.
Keep tabs on the moments you feel the most confident, the people that bring you joy, the times you laugh so hard your stomach hurts, the first person you want to tell the good news to, the obstacles that challenged you but you’re grateful for enduring. For those moments, no matter how great the adversity, transformed you into the individual you are today. Self love isn’t about loving yourself and everything that happens in your life all the time. It is about rising above challenges, no matter how much you resent the obstacle. Being brutally honest with yourself is true unconditional love.
Manifestation for 2023 is essential. Start romanticizing your ambitions. Convince yourself that your walk to campus is rejuvenating, that each cup of coffee is the best ever brewed, that even the most mundane and minuscule details are unique and thrilling. It’s all 110% necessary, because that’s when you start living authentically. That’s when you look forward to every new day; a clean slate and a new opportunity.
Like a blast from the past in 2016, pinterest is my right hand when it comes to manifesting and romanticizing. I’ve been creating vision boards at the beginning of each month for the last 5 months. Pin the things you want in your life that month, and use the law of attraction to attain those things in your real life. Being familiar with those ambitions will convince your brain that they are already yours. Envision those dreams and do not shy away from believing the augmented reality.
Shaudeh’s 2023: Top 8 Ambitions
1. Cooking my own meals and eating more whole foods. The black hole, otherwise known as DoorDash, completely set off my trajectory. Weekly grocery errands and grocery lists are going to be my new best friend.
2. Moving 5-6x a week. Whether it’s Corepower or the treadmill, I am setting a goal to not only build a consistent routine but also have some variety in my routine. The last few months I’ve missed very few morning 12-3-30s. While I have been a consistent hot girl walker, I realized how important it is to switch up the muscles you use every day. Even though it doesn’t work for anyone, going to Corepower or the gym with friends really keeps me accountable. Lucky me, I have 5 roommates!
3. On that note, I pinned a photo on my board of 5 girls sitting in a cozy, aesthetic living room. Adorned in sweats and cute wine glasses in hand. Some of my favorite memories at the end of 2022 were watching movies, debriefing and spending time with my roommates. Making the apartment feel like home and making memories in our space has been so special. Manifesting that 2023 brings more dinners, outings, and nights in with my roommates. 2022 was my first year at a new school. I’ve never been the new kid, let alone a transfer mid year. It wasn’t until this semester living with my 5 roommates, and honestly also my 5 honorary roommates, that my decision to transfer felt right. It was happenstance that I crossed paths with such genuine and supportive friends. Their doors and hearts are always open. I cannot wait for the memories that 2023 will bring.
4. I pinned a quote that really resonated with me: “It’s all about the first person you wanna tell good news too”.
5. Making time for myself to reset: hot showers, skin care routines, fueling my body, brewing a coffee, cleaning my space, journaling, all the works. I envision it all and prioritize it fully in 2023. Learning to embrace loneliness is a super power. My productivity is a reflection of how organized and clean my space is and how much I prioritize taking care of myself. Even if it means saying no to a night out, mental health and well being is my highest value.
6. Going hand in hand, improving my sleep schedule.
7. Being ok with spontaneity and being flexible with a plan. Flowing, not forcing. You are the most what you attractive when you are not hyper focused on attract. Be okay with rolling with the punches. My favorite nights and excursions are the ones I did not anticipate. The most valuable people in my life are the people I crossed paths with naturally. Be patient and allow it to come to you.
8. At the end of 2022, I found a new love for spending time with sister. As she’s matured, she has evolved into my built in best friend. A 6 year age gap makes it difficult to stay on the same page, but finding outings we both enjoy has made spending time together so enjoyable. Every time I make a trip home, she is a little taller, a little wiser, and a little more independent. I look forward to watching her grow, and coming home enough that I don’t miss a beat in her transformation. I love you to pieces, Saba. You are so gregarious, so talented, and so kind. Your energy is contagious— but keep your paws out of my closet.
9. Lastly, I look forward to nights with my parents in 2023. 2 of my favorite memories this semester was a Friday night out in Downtown LA with my Dad and a day at Century City mall with my mom. I am grateful to have two loving, selfless, and generous parents who support all my 2023 goals and ambitions.
Much love,
Shaudeh
